Situated in the charming riverside neighborhood of historic Wat Gate Khar Rham, the HOTEL des ARTISTS Ping Silhouette casts shadows between the old and modern worlds, making it a uniquely refined place to stay.
This charming hotel blends “modern Chinoiserie” design, drawing inspiration from Shanghai to Chiang Mai. It brings the essence of ancient taverns that once served as rest stops for travelers and merchants journeying long distances on horseback or in carriages.
The hotel’s two-toned color scheme evokes a lasting impression. I found myself simply enjoying watching the light and shadows shift from one to another throughout the day, creating a memory to contemplate that lingers in my mind—a shadow of peace… a silhouette.
The hotel features a total of 19 rooms, including three room types: Serene, Willow, and River. Amenities include parking, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden area, BBQ facilities, and massage services.
I stayed in “Willow Room No. 15,” which offers a garden view and is close to the river. This room is very beautiful! The decorations and the design made me want to just be in this room with the patio door open during the daytime, watching the light shine through each item inside.
The lights got blocked from the patio door during the night, inviting a feeling of infinite time in the dark, which surprisingly made it very easy for me to retreat and hit the sack. No loud neighbors, no annoying city sounds, just peace and quiet – something that’s all I need for this stay.
