A Sip of Serenity at Monsoon Tea Asok
I love wandering around the Sukhumvit alleys between Asok and PhromPhong BTS stations, as always amazed by the many nice cafes, food, shops, and yoga studios along the roads. I found out that there are a few cafes and shops to visit at the end of Sukhumvit 23 road. It’s a little quiet area because it’s where the road ends, and I chose to stop for a sip of tea at Monsoon Tea this time. I was initially impressed by the aroma of the Sukhumvit Blend when I first got introduced to this tea brand, but as I came to explore more in the shop, I just wanted to try all of them! There are so many tea blends for me to choose from, and it took me a while to select a tea for myself, but after some time, I decided to go for the ‘Apple Green’ for today. and … I got to confess that I had just the idea in my mind about the word ‘apple’ in tea, as I always thought it was caffeine-free (I think it’s because I’m just used to the apple tea I have at home). So, after taking a good look at the color of my tea, I went downstairs to really look into the ingredients… hahaha, it’s a green tea blend and I just misunderstood it lol. and, yes! it’s not a problem at all! What I Love! This lovely tea shop and tea house has two floors; the ground floor features tea selections, while the upstairs is a cozy space where you can sit and chill. There are two rooms upstairs featuring big windows, comfy seats, and wooden furnitures. It feels like I’m sitting at my family’s house, and just enjoying the laid-back time. I love almost all flavors of tea. While I don’t brew green tea often myself, I think it’s a good opportunity to try it, and the tea is just perfect. I love their story of growing tea naturally along with other trees in the forest. It means they do not need to cut down the forest to make tea plantations – save the forest! And oh, they have so many selections of teas sourced from the mountains in the north of Thailand. Sukhuvit 10 Monday – Friday 10.00 – 18.00 Shop Monsoon Tea’s products on Shopee Apart from the tea selections, their shop also features a Kombucha Bar for you to try. The price is 120 THB per teapot and is served with a mini munchie cookie. Monsoon Tea Asoke is located on Soi Sukhumvit 23, within easy walking distance from MRT Sukhumvit or BTS Asok. The shop is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00.
Tea Time Delights at Chan & Yupa Cuisine
Once in a while, Vesse and I enjoy going out to try new cafes for a change. We both love cafes, especially ones with big windows, lots of light, and comfy seats for working and reading books. Recently, we’ve both grown fond of tea and have been on the lookout for tearooms in Bangkok and everywhere we go.

Oh I love peppermint tea >< and I probably say it again and again. I express how much I love tea, and I mentioned that peppermint tea is my favorite in an earlier blog post, My Mindful Mornings. Very delicious “Pad Thai” Indeed. The breakfast pairs a main dish, hailing from Thai or Western palates, with a complimentary salad and a special, old-fashioned Thai-Chinese breakfast: Youtiao (Chinese fried churros) or fried dough dipped in condensed milk and served with soy milk. Enjoy your complimentary afternoon tea while stretching in the willow garden by the Ping River. Whether it’s the quiet of the morning or the cool of the evening, it’s easy to find my own peace and tranquility in this serene outdoor space here. The Willow Room No.15 I stayed in “Willow Room No. 15,” which offers a garden view and is close to the river. This room is very beautiful! The decorations and the design made me want to just be in this room with the patio door open during the daytime, watching the light shine through each item inside. The lights got blocked from the patio door during the night, inviting a feeling of infinite time in the dark, which surprisingly made it very easy for me to retreat and hit the sack. วันนี้เมย์ขอพานอนพักที่โรงแรม ในบรรยากาศของ “โรงเตี๊ยม” ที่ HOTEL des ARTISTS Ping Silhouette ริมแม่น้ำปิงจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ค่ะ โรงแรมนี้โดดเด่นมากเรื่องของดีไซน์ ด้วยการใช้สี การจัดวางของตกแต่งและ “รสนิยม” คนอารมณ์ศิลป์ในสไตล์ “Chinoiserie” ซึ่งเป็นการนำเอกลักษณ์ของศิลปะจีนมาใช้ตกแต่ง ดังจะเห็นได้จากต้นหลิว ถ้วยชาม เซ็ตน้ำชา รวมไปถึงเก้าอี้ โคมไฟ และแจกันตามมุมต่างๆ HOTEL des ARTISTS Ping Silhouette เป็นโรงแรมขนาด 19 ห้อง ตั้งอยู่ติดริมแม่น้ำปิง ไม่ไกลจาก “กาดวโรรส” และ “วัดเกตการาม” ถ้ามาจากในเมืองลงสะพานนวรัฐแล้วเลี้ยวขวามาประมาณ 50 เมตรโรงแรมจะอยู่ด้านขวามือค่ะ ภายในโรงแรมมีสวนต้นหลิว และสระว่ายน้ำ ห้องแบ่งเป็น 3 ประเภท คือ Serene Room, River Room และ Willow Room ด้านหน้าโรงแรมเปิดเป็น “โรงน้ำชา” ชื่อว่า Café des Artists ค่ะ สำหรับแขกนอกที่ไม่ได้พักที่โรงแรม แต่มารับประทานอาหารก็สามารถใช้พื้นที่ในส่วนของคาเฟ่และพื้นที่บริเวณทางเข้าจากทางล็อบบี้ได้ค่ะ ทางโรงแรมได้สงวนพื้นที่สวนต้นหลิว สระว่ายน้ำ จากห้องโซน Willow Room ทั้งหมดไปถึงริมแม่น้ำปิงไว้สำหรับแขกของโรงแรมค่ะ Adults / couples No pet allowed Google Map No smoking allowed The Complimentary Afternoon Tea ได้เช็คอินประมาณบ่ายโมงนิดๆ ค่ะ เราก็เลยมีเวลาได้เดินเล่นไปด้วย ถ่ายรูปทำงานไปด้วย พอบ่ายสามโรงแรมก็จัดเตรียมเซ็ต Welcome After Set ไว้ให้ มีน้ำผลไม้ เซ็ตน้ำชา และขนมปังปิ้งใส้เนยนุ่มๆ กรุ่นๆ สามารถเสริปที่ไหนก็ได้ ส่วนเราเลือกนั่งทานที่สนามหญ้ากันค่ะ Cafe des Artist Café des Artists เป็นร้านอาหารและคาเฟ่ที่ตั้งอยู่ที่ด้านหน้าของโรงแรม เปิดให้บริการสำหรับแขกทั่วไป ซึ่งมีเมนูที่ไม่ควรพลาดเลยก็คือ ผัดไท และ ข้าวซอยไก่ค่ะ สำหรับแขกของโรงแรมก็จะเสริฟอาหารเช้าที่นี่เช่นกัน เมนูอาหารเช้าจะจัดเป็นเซ็ต มีทั้งแบบไทยและและตะวันตก และมีให้เลือกอาทิเช่น Eggs Benedict โจ๊กฮ่องกง และข้าวผัด โดยเสริฟพร้อมกับเซ็ตสลัดและผลไม้ค่ะ พร้อม Complimentary Set ปาท่องโก๋จิ้มนมข้ม น้ำเต้าหู้ และน้ำผลไม้ The Decorations ก่อนเช็คเอ้าท์ก็มีเวละไปเดินถ่ายรูปและเก็บชมความงามของโรงแรมอีกครั้ง ที่ตึกด้านหน้า(ตึกเดียวกับล็อบบี้) มีห้องสมุดอยู่บนชั้นสอง และยังมีมุมหลายๆ มุมที่ตกแต่งด้วยโคมไฟและแจแบบกันจีน สีของตึกตัดกับแสงที่ลอดผ่านเข้ามาตามหน้าต่างและระเบียงทางเดิน ซึ่งมองดูแล้วเหมือนกับว่ากำลังเดินอยู่ในงานนิทรรศการศิลปะเลยค่ะ My Room เมย์นอนห้อง 15 Willow Room ตอนกลางคืนนี่เวลาปิดไฟดับสนิทแล้วมองไม่เห็นอะไรเลย ตอนแรกๆ รู้สึกเหมือนถูกตัดขาดจากโลกภายนอก แต่ก็เป็นครั้งแรกที่ได้นอนหลับเต็มอิ่ม รู้สึกว่าได้พักผ่อนจริงๆ เรียกได้ว่าเป็นคืนที่สงบมากๆ เลยค่ะ เราชอบทุกอย่างที่นี่ ตั้งแต่การต้อนรับ ห้องพัก เตียงนอน สถานที่ อาหาร การตกแต่ง ที่สำคัญเราได้ใช้เวลาอยู่กับตัวเองในความเงียบสงบ ในความสบายของสถานที่และธรรมชาติรอบๆ ได้ชื่นชมความงามของศิลปะแสงและเงา ที่ทุกอย่างผสมรวมกันได้อย่างลงตัวจริงๆ ค่ะ ขอบคุณโรงแรม HOTEL des ARTISTS Ping Silhouette สำหรับการต้องรับที่อบอุ่นครั้งนี้ด้วยค่ะ Special thanks, Natalie, for coming to hang out with me and for being a model for my work. Facilities The Bistro @ M: The chef’s ethos is “simple but amazing,” and everything, even the breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, lives up to this idea. The à la carte menu, which recreates classic Thai childhood dishes, will almost make you forget Meeting Rooms: The Modena by Fraser has a meeting room that can be configured in three different ways for your next conference, business meeting, or training seminar. Gym & Sauna: There is a well-equipped gym and sauna on the fifteenth floor for your use when you’re not working hard in the café downstairs 😉 My Room My room is the Studio Premier type. The room offer a functional workspace overlooking Rama IV, a major artery of Bangkok, offering a picturesque view of a constantly-evolving city. I have a kitchenette with a stovetop, a microwave oven, and, something often overlooked in other properties, three separate trash cans! The bathroom is incredible, featuring a shower but also a bathtub where you can stretch out your legs and enjoy a good soak.
